An airsoft gun was originated in Japan during the 1970s due to that it was illegal to own a firearm. Since many Japanese were interested in firearms, manufacturers started to produce the first airsoft gun. They were realistic spring-powered guns that fired 6mm of plastic pellets or BBs. They were spread in many countries in East Asia due to firearm restrictions in these countries. Airsoft guns migrated to North America in the mid 1990s. Tokyo Marui, the Japanese manufacturer, invented an automatic electric gun or AEG. Later, it improved a hop up system which increases the accuracy and range of the gun.
